On the Title Screen press:

LARGE WORLD MAP CRITTERS
On the title screen press:
Left, X, Up, Y, Right, B, Down, B.

TEAM FIGHTER MODE VARIATIONS
This cheat will give you variations of characters in the Team Fighter Mode.
On the Team Fighter Creature Select screen press:
L, L, Down, Down, Black, White, Black, White, R, L, Black, R, R, R, White. 

VS. MODE VARIATIONS
This cheat will give you variations of characters in the Versus Mode.
On the Creature Select screen and in versus mode press:
L, L, Down, Down, Black, White, Black, White, R, L, Black, R, R, White.
