BUTTON
COMBINATION CHEATS
NTSC and PAL are versions of the game for different regions. Check
the game box or instructions to find out which version you have... If in
doubt, try both sets of cheats.
UNLOCK ALMOST EVERYTHING: NTSC VERSION
This cheat will give you all items (not secrets), all weapons, unlimited
ammo, special features.
Follow the steps below..
1. During play, press Select and highlight the Timex-TMX at the inventory
screen.
2. Hold L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 + Down + Circle and press Triangle to exit the
inventory screen.
3. Re-enter the inventory to access the extra items.
Quit the level to find the 'Special Features' option at the main menu.
The Special Features option, features an FMV sequence of the next Tomb
Raider game on the PlayStation2.
Note: The effects of this code will be temporary unless you have 'Saved' in
inventory.

ALL ITEMS, WEAPONS BUT NOT LEVEL ITEMS
During play, Press Select during game play and highlight the Timex-TMX
at the inventory screen.
Hold L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 and press Up, Triangle.
ALL ITEMS, WEAPONS BUT NOT LEVEL ITEMS: METHOD TWO
During play, press Select and highlight the small health pack at the
inventory screen.
Press Up + L1 + L2 + R1 + R2.
Both health packs should turn unlimited.
Exit the menu and re-enter it.
You should now have all weapons and unlimited ammunition.
ALL LEVEL ITEMS
During play, press Select and highlight the Timex-TMX at the inventory
screen.
Hold L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 and press Down, Triangle.

'NEW GAME' OPTION CHEATS
On the Main Menu, highlight the 'New Game' option and enter one of
the Button Combos below to enable the Effect you require.
Effect .... Button Combo
Level skip .... Hold L1 and press X.
View FMV sequences (PAL version) .... Press R2 + Select
Black Isle level .... Hold Up + L2 and press X.
Russian Base level .... Hold Up + L1 and press X.
Tower Block level .... Hold Up + R1 and press X.
Rome level .... Hold Up + R2 and press X.
HINTS AND PLAYING TIPS
Handstand: To do a handstand when you climb an object, hold Walk as you
climb.
Somersault: To do a somersault, crawl to the very edge of a platform
or ledge. While holding Crawl, press Jump. Lara will somersault into the
area below. This is better than having to turn around and climb down while
getting out of a tunnel. This is also useful when getting into the water
mill in the "Old Mill" level.
Quick flare: Press Select + R1 or R2 while Lara does not have a
weapon held to use a flare without entering the inventory screen.
Flip in the air: Instead of jumping forward or backward and pressing
Roll immediately, press the opposite direction. For example, if you jump
forward, immediately press Down and Lara will do a flip in the air. Do the
opposite if you jump backwards.
Snap Lara's neck: Do a somersault jump (Jump while pressing Walk
forward) from a high place. A good place to try this is in the very first
Streets of Rome level, when you are above the awning. If you attempt to do a
somersault jump from above onto the awning, she will dive head first and
snap her neck when she lands on the awning, causing the game to end.
