On the Title Screen, hold A and press:

Then, press Start on controllers one and two simultaneously.
UNLOCK THE BONUS LEVEL
Save a game in the second saved game slot.
Display the load game screen, and highlight the game in the
second saved game slot.
Then, hold Left + Select and press Start.
